Sonia Henry is Director of the Acquisition Analysis and Insights Department within the Systems Engineering Division at The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, California. Sonia earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University Long Beach and a M.B.A. from California State University Dominguez Hills. After interning at Hughes Aircraft Company, Sonia was hired as an intern at The Aerospace Corporation, then promoted to full-time technical staff and later to management. She now leads a bicoastal team focused on data-driven acquisition insights and lifecycle systems engineering assessments. She volunteers as an advocate, advisor, facilitator and speaker for K-12 STEM events and has mentored a diverse group of college students for 20+ years. She has been recognized with industry and company awards for her technical and community efforts. She recently served as the Aerospace Black Caucus National President (2023) and Vice-President (2020-2022). Her personal mission is to pay it forward.
