Description: As mentors, we often get asked how we developed the skills to advance our careers when our career path had not yet afforded us the opportunity. During this session, we will talk about the different leadership skills we developed and honed in our varied leadership roles in SWE. We'll also share how we were able to leverage our SWE leadership experience in demonstrating skills as we sought to advance our careers.
Learning Objectives:
Identify different leadership capabilities that can be developed through SWE leadership roles
Understand how to explain SWE leadership experiences in a corporate context
Create a leadership development plan that incorporates SWE and other nonprofit leadership roles to develop skills
